Hello

A Bit About Me

RESUME   |   REEL

I'm Cara Loften (kar-uh), a Minnesota born actress, writer, director, and creative. After high school I attended AADA in NYC and lived there for a number of years working as an actress in theatre and film. I even made my own short film, SEEK, which was a finalist for Tropfest - the largest short film festival in the world - and played at multiple festivals. I moved to LA not long ago and last year I wrote, acted in, and produced my first full length play, Moral Fixation, at The Fringe Festival which went on to win the Encore award. My current short film script, The Cleaner, has been a finalist in numerous competitions such as WeScreenPlay Diverse voices and for the Stowes Final Draft Fellowship, to name a couple. I am deeply interested in stories of hope and altered perspective. I currently reside in LA with my rottweiler/husky puppy Silkworth and my spouse, Gabe. I'm really glad you're here =]
